Hello all!

I recently got my orders about a week ago and I was wondering what would I expect from FMSS at Camp Pendleton. I'm from California and have ran the YMCA Mud Run a few years back so I know about the weather and everything like that. I guess I'm just nervous about how days are and how the training is planned out.

Personally, I really just want to get out there to my ultimate duty station and start working with patients ASAP. I judge that will be my motivation..

But as I was saying, anyone have any words of wisdom and advice in regards to Field Med at Pendleton?

I've been in the Navy for really only a minute (since OCT06), and would appreciate any feedback from anyone.

Thanks in advance!

Well its been a few years since I went to FMSS at CPEN. the class room time is all about medical skills, you will also have class time with the Marines and do Infantry type things as well as close order drills etc. you will pt your but off, study alot for exams every week. when youy get to the field portion of your training you will do O courses, ruck marches, most likely the gas chamber and a few other things. It will be a blast.
