How to be put on hold?

It seems that no one in my class will be getting orders for FMTB(which is the only reason i chose corpsman) until about January, Im just wondering how i would possibly get put on hold until then so i can get orders to FMF? If its possible...... Also, since hold is a long shot, is Okinawa a nice place or does lib really get secured all the time?

We are at the end of the FY. If no one in your class is being sent to FMTB at this time, it is more than likely a budget issue. I would highly doubt that Big Navy is going to gap a billet at a command for several months just to place you on hold for a school seat. granted, stranger things have happened. I did some time on Oki back in the late 90s, lib was awesome.

If your ultimate goal is FMTB, don't worry, you will get it eventually. Keep charging.

I was there in 1974 and understand that Japan has put a lot of money into the island in attempts to beautify it and make it more palatable for tourism.

I enjoyed my time there, lots' of culture and history.

As for being Secured.. That is up to you "NUMB NUTS" who are stationed there.. If you act like Gracious Guests.. then probably no you won't be secured to much, but if you go over there and are "DRUNK, OBNOXIOUS, Freaks.. (As some Americans are) then yeah you will be secured.. It is all about what happened last.

Remember it is "NOT" our Country, you are guests there..

You also get more time to do stuff if your Senior.. So Make Rank.. Studies have shown most if not all are E4 and below who do the stupid crap..
