I found crucial information for those getting ready for FMTB at Camp Lejeune. Visit their website here: http://www.lejeune.usmc.mil/fmtb/index.shtml
...and follow the links on the left side of the page, third up from the bottom "life at FMTB". You will need POWERPOINT to view the document and you can get that by going here:
http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/powerpoint/default.aspx
It answered all the questions I had about the curriculum and what kind of environment to expect.

Great looking out, that was some good info on what to expect. When are you supposed to report to Camp Lejeune? I have to check in tomorrow to Camp Pendleton since my leave will be up and start to classing up on this upcoming monday. Best of luck to you!
fmtb was not useful at all. just take what you learned from corps school and you're good. all i learned was how to PT all the time. they really need to improve their program.

I was actually curious about something. How are the hours at FMTB? Is it a full day from 0500 to 1700 or is it less? Because departing corp school some of my classmates who were going said it was from around 05 to 13 or something along those lines.

Your hours..
It "Starts" When your ordered to be there..:err:
It "ENDS" when they tell you your done..:rmad:
Come on.. Really.... "REALLY" you have been in the military long enough to realize that there are "NO" set hours in the military. You get there when told to, and you go home when the work is done and your secured.:panda:
Anyone telling you different is full of Beans..:horse:

Hello everyone, I'm heading to rtc on 12DEC08 and then on to HM "A" school. I heard that most all male grads will pipeline to FTMB, is this true or just what ever meets the needs of the Navy at that time?
..just what ever meets the needs of the Navy at that time?
It's FMTB (http://www.lejeune.usmc.mil/fmtb/index.shtml) or Field Medical Training Battalion.
Yes, it's whatever the needs of the Navy are at the time you come up for orders. However, because we are at war, you will at some time of your Naval career go to FMTB.

That hasn't changed in the 32 years since I was there.:nah:

I was stationed at the hospital before we classed up for FMTB the barracks are 2-3 man rooms right next to the hospital. you can get DSL not sure about the cable ... they are pretty descent compared to what the students at FMTB get. As far as FMTB you will be in the open bay barracks unless you are in the march class then you may still be in the 3 man rooms which are incredibly tiny. good news you only have to sleep there!!! but if you're getting stationed at the hospital i wouldnt hook up the internet til you grad FMTB they have the SMP right next to the barracks with more than enough comps with free internet
Thank you for the info, good to hear the Hospital Barracks atleast gets DSL
