Good history books? Say on Midway or a bio of J P Jones?

Hey guys, I've read a lot on WWII in the European Theatre (well, that and played Call of Duty =P ) but I really don't know that much about the Pacific Campaign. I know Midway was supposed to be the most important battle so I would love any suggestions on some good books about it. And of course some sort of biographical book about John Paul Jones or some other important sailors?
