I've already discussed this w/ my CC and have already turned in a request to extend which I am waiting for to come back. I just would like to see what you think Chief or anybody else who reads this.

My Home of Records is in Yokosuka, Japan which does nothave aReserve station. The closest reserve stations are in guam and hawaii. I thought that the navy would pay formytravel expenses butI thoughtwrong. This would cause me to go through a hardship to travel back and forth 2 times a month. I have no family here in the states. My solution was to get a 24month extension on my contract. I put all this in my request and more...and I hope that it get's approved because if not thenI am ****ed.

Nah your not.. What they will do for you is work something out for IRR. You need to call COMNAVRESFOR ASAP though if it gets disapproved. Shipmate this happens a lot to truckers etc.. If they Navy Let you join, knowing full well that you were there.. They have to come up with something creative.

Balls in their court. Most likely they will have you affiliated with a Reserve Center somewhere else but will have you drill at the Naval Hospital there and work with the OSO(Operational Support Officer) every hospital has one. (Naval).

Thanks chief that's the best answer I've heard so far!...Well I hope that they do approve it because I love being in the Navy and I really don't see my self doing anything else.
