This is more of a continuing education progam rather than a USN C-School. I came across a program at George Washington University that allows Independent Duty Corpsman "build on the strengths of the IDC training and provide a combination of opportunities to fulfill requirements for a Bachelor of Science in Health Sciences (BSHS) with a major in Clinical Health Sciences (CHS). IDCs who complete the course work for the degree will be prepared to continue their education in graduate or professional programs in such fields as physician assistant, public health and health services administration."

They offer the BSHS listed above and they also offer an Associates in Science for IDCs. All coursework is completed online. I have the links for the 2 progams below:

BSHS: http://www.gwumc.edu/healthsci/programs/chs_bs/

AS: http://www.gwumc.edu/healthsci/programs/hs_as/

Hope someone finds this useful,

This is correct, my old roommate is an IDC-instructor at Balboa and is taking full time courses. He will complete his BSN and get a direct commission next summer from it. It takes a lot of time, dedication and studying, but it can be done.
