I think there have been items listed in many different places.
Would you guys please help me start a list of things that would be of use to my Corpsman who is FMF on his first deployment.

Here is what I have seen before
SOCKS - White and lots of them
BABY WIPES -
are the small individual packs better maybe even put in zip lock bags?
HAND SANITIZER

What are some more things personal experience has taught you!

Thanks for the input:not:

Jerky is always good.
Foot powder for those nasty boots he is wearing.
This is going to sound strange but if he is with division send Tampons they are great for bullet wounds.
Zip-lock bags- all kinds so he can keep his medbag in order and dust and sand off of his medical gear.

That is all I can think of for now, if I come up with more I will post it.

LMAO @ Tampons. I can just see the guys touching that. My husband won't even pick up the box at the store. LOL Had to comment on it.

tampons - i would think the OB kind would be easy to carry and use since they don't have an applicator. Just a thought

still chuckling about a visual of the guys getting a box of them in the mail :D

Have you guys ever seen one expand in a GSW?, it stops the bleeding like a cork in a wine bottle it's good stuff, maybe if Da-Chief went on a real combat deployment he would know some of the tricks of the trade, but no DeeDee the ones with the applicator are better they are easy to insert.

Err Newt Been on a deployment I have used things on the side of the road to stabilize wounds and injuries.. I was not making fun of it I was joking with the ladies who were joking about it with men obtaining them.

you ever use a condom to Cover the muzzle of your weapon? keep Sand out? etc???

Hell I gotta bunch more..

;-)

Although I have not done a tour in the Sand Box you got me there..

Don't be corkin on me..

You can also try this link, it's a Marine Corps site but applies to Corpsman as well.

Hey Chief it's all good we've all had to make due to get the job done before, I come across a bit rash sometimes (trying to work on that).
