Ok so I have been sick since Sunday Night, went to the ER, nobody did a Strep Test, URI they said.. I have gotten progressively worse, I vomit almost hourly now, throat is like a raw piece of meat. Went to the clinic yesterday, no one did a strep test URI, Force fluids, Tessalon Pearls, and a Decongestant, which by the way makes me fell like I am drowning. I have had "0" Sleep in 3 days as when I lay down I choke and have to sit up and cough uncontrollably(SP?) to where you guessed it I have to vomit again.

Got up this AM again with "0" sleep and Spence has a Raw throat like me.. Complaining of the same stuff.. But we decided to get him checked out as you need the right breakdown for meds for him... They do a rapid Strep and "+"!!!!!!!!!!!!


I have fricken (Excuse me.. going into Sailor Mode..) Strep probably for the last Damn Week, throwing my guts out not able to go to work, walking around like a damn zombie all because someone didn't follow basic S/C 101. Damn if someone presents to me with sore throat, Elevated Temp. Head Ache Nausea.. What the hell would you think??????

But hey you can't tell them anything.. So now I got to find a way to get in and get seen while Spence is at the hospital now. Been a fun week.

What make matters worse. I hate being looked at as a "SLACKER" and I know that this is what it fricken looks like, hell I would have looked at it the same way. Pisses me off to no end.

Arrrghh..


Oh yeah Mikayla is home as well with a Headache.. At least Ped's did their job..

Sorry to ask an obvious question, but why didnt you ask for a strep test? You knew your symptoms and even stated what you would do if someone presented you with those symptoms. If not at the ER (civilian I assume?) then most definatly at a medical clinic surrounded by our own kind. Should have done a swab and taken it to the lab yourself.

If that would have been one of my junior guys, I would have told him it served him right for not knowing his own symptoms :P.

Seriously, sorry you're sick, but being around a bunch of school kids will do it to you. Plenty of Vit 'c', fresh air and fluids is all I use to stay healthy...and the great flu mist.

It actually turns out I had "2" infections at once.. They were spot on with the URI/FLU..

The first visit was to a Civ ER.. Trust me I tried to ask but no, its a URI...

Second visit was a the clinic, I was really outta of it then, yeah I shouldhave said something, I did complain of the throat and all etc.. I was a piece of mush..

All in all 2 days onboard, I feel 50% better already.. Stuff is flowing outta my sinuses like crazy was upstairs today bending over for something and a flow started out of my nose.. Yellowish red.. good stuff..

I came down with flu-like symptoms last night. I clogged up very quickly and started to ache all over. Sure enough, I woke up in the middle of the night with the chills and a temp. I have been misurable. It seems to never fail that I will get sick again and again. I went from bronchitis (sp?) right before and during leave to having a terrible cold after I got back to an ear infection to this flu. I swear, there is something wrong with this school. LOL

Good to hear you are finally getting better Chief!

One last note, I just heard from a buddy of mine that 129 has some sickness thing going around. I'd try and steer clear of those guys for a bit when you get back ;)
