What do you mean,"What goes on your 3 years of reserves"?

Do you mean what goes on 'during' your 3 years of enlistment in the Navy Reserves?

Yes, you can still be deployed while in the Reserves.

haha. yeah i was missing a key word.
do they deploy more less or just the same?
i'm trying to work out a time line with college and the military and figure out if i can get college and med school completed and still be able to get in as an officer for the air force. a lot of x factors like amount of school i'll pick up in the navy and deployments while a reserve. then the usual wife and kids factors. ugh.

I'll defer to some active duty folks who may be able to provide a more definitive answer.

However, deployments are normally 7 months with the Marines. You could also serve with any branch of the Armed Forces while on deployment and their deployments could be 12 months or longer. Nothing is absolute in the military. Deployments have been extended at the last minute. Very difficult to plan around something like that.

I think he was referring to the 3 years of inactive reserve after the 5 of active duty. During those 3 years, yes you can be recalled and deployed. Will it happen? "Probably" not.
