Chief,

I have been reading corpsman.com for the last 4 months or so. Reading between the lines it looks like the trend (need) is toward FMF assingments out of A-School.

Is this a fair guess as to the mix over the last 4 weeks or so ?

Reserve - 99% FMF orders.

Active Duty - 75% FMF orders.

Thanks.

It all depends on the needs of the navy at the time and your desires and past performance. If you want to go to FMSS, you can go as long as you don' have the following:
30% debt
Dependents
Certain waivers to get in

Note* Thats what it was for me when I received orders around mid Feb. of 07. It seems to change a lot. You can get a C school with a 90 average on your tests as told to me by Da Chief. There is almost no certain thing with the Navy. Things change all the time, and if you want to hear big navy laugh, tell them your plans.

I am a little confused. I thought that currently 100% of the males were required to go FMSS out of A school while en-route to there next assignment regardless of wether that assignment was C-School, Blueside or Greenside?

What I am really asking is the current first tour assignment mix between Blueside and Greeside for active duty guys coming out of NHCS in the last month. Does 25% Blue / 75% Greeen sound about right lately? I know the needs of the Navy can change from week to week, I am just curious if I am anywhere close with the assumption that 3/4's of the active duty folks coming out of NHCS lately are getting Greenside orders?
