NHCS Moving to San Antonio?

I read in one of the other posts that NHCS is moving to San Antonio in 2010. Is this correct? Anyone know the date of the move? DEP 3 NOV 2009, which puts me at NHCS in 2010 and my house is only 3 hours from GL so easy for the fam to visit on liberty.

I am also curious if this move is simply to consolidate all of the services medical training in one place or make it easier to change to one medical training program for all services. Anyone know the answer to this one?

IFD, According to the press release, it to allow all services to be consolidated in one location for school. The exact time on the P.R. just says 2010.

The only thing I have to ask (maybe Da Chief) can answer....is there any type of "Final Reunion"/"R.I.P." ceremony for the former HM's that attended NHCS-Great Lakes to attend or participate in? Since the program is relocating, then I thought that something big was planned, kind of a sending out.....if not how can we get this arranged?

Yeah, i posted this about month ago. my son is at NHCS and he says all med training to be consolidated at San Antonio.
