First off, NO I didn't get it written in the contract.I had not known what a corpsman was til a week before I went to MEPS. But after I went and signed up for nat hmfm I was told by a former corpsman that if I got a CNA that I would be able to go in as E3. So I got the certification and delivered the paper work to my recruiters....And now I am waiting on somebody (who I dont know) to review it and decide If I get the extra stripe (I have already completed my DEP PQS)...so what is the chance I get E3?

...I went and signed up for nat hmfm.

What is that? I think you are referring to the Navy Reserve NAT program HM or Corpsman!

The Navy has published a new, "Standards Transition Acknowledgment Requirements Training guide (http://www.corpsman.com/forum/../attachments/depper/depguide.pdf) (START) and is located for viewing and/or downloading from our main page, under "Recruiting Info". The answer to your E-3 question is reflected on page 11, under Advanced Pay-Grade. As long as your CNA was within those referenced educational boundaries, you stand a chance.

You should have already received a copy of this and reviewed it with your Recruiter!

You won't get E-3, as it is not a "DEGREE"..

8404, can you add the breakdown by college credits you put up before?? I don't have it here...

So many for E-2, and then so many for E-3...

Good Luck, if there is a change let us know!!

NOTE: DEPpers do not have to necessarily have a 'degree' to get E-3, just the required amount of college credits!

That it is. After reviewing most of the content, it quickly become apparent, why the Navy put this out. For example, (Page 25, Acknowledgment Form & required signatures)! Regardless, it answers a good many questions and is an excellent resource.
