Just some decent Australian Shows and Movies that i have enjoyed, and members of the US forces have enjoyed with me on deployment.
'Changi'- Mini-Series- A story of a close knit group of mates (friends) who become PoW's in the 2nd World War at the hands of the Japanese.
Unlike most PoW stories, there is no escape nor rebellion, it is simply thier day to day life, ranging from the laughs of teasing the guards to the harsh torture for failing to bow.
'Kokoda' - Movie- Kokoda (also known as the Battle of Australia) is an epic film depicting a small fireteams struggle in WW2 agasint the invading japanese army. Outnumbered, Outgunned and Outtrained (out of all the Australian defences at Kokoda, 97% where reserve militia, 3% were RAAF pilots without planes) the small unit holds out for weeks until the Regular AIF Army can reach them and help for the final battle.
'The Castle' - Movie- A Comedy about the typical aussie family in a struggle agasint a greedy local city council, enough said (we have all been there world wide :nah:)
