Hello everyone,

I was wondering if there could be a section that goes into programs that we could do to get us certificates or equivalents so that we can use them in the civilian sector. I am by far not going to be leaving the military anytime soon but I would like to do some quals to write on my evals/packages and it does look good when applying to med school I assume.

I am a BLS Instructor, LVN, and HMSB Instructor but would like to put more things under my belt. I would have used the NAVY COOL programs but I often find it hard to navigate and since it is not specifically Corpsman related I don't find it as useful. It does not go in detail on where you would get training such as phlebotomy technician.

Thank you for the help.

Our site is not intended to take the place of your CCC, which is whom you should be getting career direction from. Not to mention your CoC.

You may take a look at the following two links, under the programs/schools link, to see what is currently being offered in the way of 'C' schools. There are quite a few, which will prepare you for National Certification.

Naval School of Health Sciences - San Diego, CA (http://www.med.navy.mil/sites/navmedmpte/nshs-sd/Pages/Programs.aspx)
Naval School of Health Sciences - Portsmouth, VA (http://www.med.navy.mil/sites/navmedmpte/nshs-ps/Pages/Schools.aspx)
