Dental Technicians for USNS Comfort Mission. There is a need for some Dental Technicians aboard the USNS Comfort this year. There will be 4 "cruises" each lasting approximately 30 days. The requirement is for 1 Dental Officer and 1 Dental Technician for each cruise. The ship will go through the Panama Canal a couple of times during the evolution. The approximate dates are:
1 APR-2MAY2009.
2 MAY-2JUN2009
2 JUN- 2JUL2009
2 JUL-31JUL2009.
The rules are as follows:
a. You should have the blessing of your command
b. You must have command approval from BN
c. If you have done a humanitarian mission in the past 2 years, you probably will not be approved
d. Select the dates you are willing to go, then prioritize them
Rank for Enlisted up to HM2. HMC and HM1 will only be considered if the HM2 and below rating is unfilled.
