Corpsman School

My son is currently in boot camp and is scheduled to go to Corpsman School there at Great Lakes. How often does a new class start for Corpsman? Will there be any lag time between finishing boot campand starting 'C' school ? Approximately how long does Corpsman School last? Also I'm curious about the Corpsman School curriculum. Is it published somewhere? Maybe on the web? Thanks in advance for your replies.

Sorry bout hte lag, If you follow the main page you can see I have been out of it as of late..

But.. I digress..

As far as HM Classes, they start as soon as he shows.. the curriculum is now self paced.. He has about a week of indoc then off to the races..

Which C-School is he getting? Do you mean Boot Camp to "A" School?

HM School lasts apprx: 8-12 weeks depending on how fast he flies through it.

As of right now the curriculum is not online.. Sorry..

Thanks for the reply. You are correct, I meant that he would be starting 'A' school. He is on the NCS program and will finish boot in about 2 weeks. Sgt. O.B.

Self paced? No more boring lectures? No more erasers aimed at heads as the student drifts into a coma? NOW WAIT A MINUTE!!!! I suffered and now technolgy makes it easy for the kids?

I want to come back and do it easy too-- no wait belay that, Id probably flunk out, never mind.

Actually, self paced sounds kind of cool. Is there still a class per se as there was when we went through it? How's it all work, can you tell us or do you have to kill us afterwards?
