hello all! My name is HM3 McCree (doc Mac). Since I have never really "checked in", I guess now is better than never. I have been in the Navy for 4yrs and 4 months and I love every bit of it. Bootcamp was 28Jan03 and grad date was 4Apr03 (no, I wasnt set back. It took a week to get a full division). Corps school was 17Apr03 and grad from that was 02Jul03. I separated from active duty and went reserves (under the NPS basic contract) and my first command was DetMedLog 4th FSSG in San Diego on 12Aug03. On January 4 2004, MedLog sent me to FMSS Camp Pendleton. I grad on 25Feb04 and went to be with NH Balboa for a couple months and then I moved to Cbicago where I attached with Fleet Hospital Great Lakes in Sept 04. I stayed with FH for a year and decided it was time to go back to the darkside and attached with MACG48 4th MAW in Great Lakes on Oct 3 2005. A year later, I had the "need a new command" itch again and decided to pick up ADSW orders with Truck Co 4th MARDIV in Erie, PA on 11Dec06 and thats where I am now. On Feb of this year, I heard that the Navy was looking for 8404 HM3's to go FTS so I applied and was accepted. I reenlist under the FTS contract at the end of my orders here on June 1st and my new command (for the next 3 yrs) will be 4th MedBn 4th MLG in Newport News, VA. My detach date from here will be mid June and I am actually going to VA this weekend thru May 13th to start house-hunting and meet the I&I staff down there and feel the unit out. If anybody is in the Newport News, Norfolk or Portsmouth area, send me a message! I will be close by.

Well, as you can see, I made my way around the Navy/Marine Corps in my short 4 yrs and I can't wait to see what else is out there. All I need to do now is go on a ship to be a well-rounded Sailor :)

Congrats McCree!

I remember you from one of the chats we had before you attended correct?? I think it was you.

You were doing ADSW at HM1 Paoletta's old unit. (Am I right? If not take it that I am a old retired guy!)

;-)

Welcome aboard, get involved, get your Reserves involved when you attach up on the east coast.

Yes, Chief. You are correct. We've chatted before and I am working with HM1 Paoletta's replacement on ADSW. I believe you met him in January/February (HM2 Posey). You mistook me for him(HM2 Posey) when I first mentioned HM1 Paoletta to you :err: . How is he doing. I've never met HM1, but I heard he was a pretty nice guy.
