LT John Correa, RIP, passed on last week. Cause of death is still unknown, but he was found in the gym during routine PT.
In his 20+yr Navy career, John served in 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Recon Bn's, first as a SOT, then as a SARC. He was selected as the Sailor of the Year and meritoriously promoted to HMC. The following year, he was selected for the Physicians' Assistant program and was commissioned upon graduation. As a PA, he served at NSWG-2 as a Diving Medical Officer, and retired as a LT. He most recently served as the Medical Officer for the FBI, and had just transitioned from CTR to GS. He leaves behind a wife and 2 children.
The memorial service was held at the Marine Memorial Chapel on MCB Quantico, and at the FBI HRT compound. Many brothers from all walks of John's career attended to honor his life and support his family.
You will be missed, Bro
