This one is on my recommended movie list -- especially if your life in any way involves dogs, grumpy old men, kids, youthful imagination, childish adventures or childhood memories...

I saw a midnight showing of the 3D version on Thursday night and it was great! Lots of laughs! Family safe. Okay for the kids (young & old). Good time!

How was the 3D version? I can just remember going to a 3D movie when my husband and I first got married....they were terrible!! Now that has been 30 years ago and you may be young enough not to be able to compare the 2. But I don't want to waste my time on 3D if the technology hasn't improved....LOL!

Who could forget the old Elvira 'Mistress of the Dark' Movie Macabre 3D specials...

The 3D movie technology and glasses have both improved significantly. Light years better than the old technology and the red/blue glasses

There is also a 2D version of the movie being shown for theaters without the 3D equipment or audiences that don't like 3D....
