I know it is waaaaaaay off topic, but I need your help. My little brother is getting married in a few weeks and he has asked hubs and I to choose a song we'd like to have played when we enter the reception (each couple in the bridal party will be introduced and their song will play). His only stipulation is nothing sappy, ballad, etc. Keep it upbeat and fun he said.

My only definitely NOT song is "In the Navy" for obvious reasons LOL! So, whaddya got? I am wide open for suggestions...country, hip hop, pop, electronic, oldies but goodies?! I am making a list of everyone's different suggestions and then I hope to narrow it down by the end of next week so I can tell my brother which one we are using.

Thanks!

Oh, here is the list so far:
I wanna grow old with you-Adam Sandler
When I'm 64-The Beatles
Welcome to the Jungle-Guns N Roses
Get the Party Started-Pink
Some Kind of Wonderful-Grand Funk Railroad

Ok, so surfing through iTunes gives a little inspiration, but the list is potentially huge:

Love Train - Big & Rich
Back in the Saddle Again - Aerosmith
White Wedding - Billy Idol (maybe a little too much?)
Everybody Wants You - Billy Squier
Here For The Party - Gretchen Wilson
The Power of Love - Huey Lewis (kind of ballad-y but still a good beat)
Love Is A Battlefield - Pat Benatar (depends on how twisted a sense of humor you have...)
Get My Drink On - Toby Keith (as above)

Hi! My contributions here may not be for introductions but might be good for the reception. I'm pretty old school so I couldn't help but think of the classic "Louis, Louis." Or that latin upbeat song that the chorus repeats, "feelin' hot, hot, hot." Or an old standards classic "Is That All There Is?" by Peggy Lee I think. You can google it to see what I mean.
I'm glad they're keeping the wedding fun, that's gotta' be the best way to start a life together.
Good luck to them

The ideas you have posted here are incredibly creative.

May have to put you all in charge of the playlist for the corpsman.com picnic when it gets scheduled ;)

I really do enjoy the Beatles!!!
How Bout...
Beatles---Here comes the Sun...
or
Beatles--- All you need is love
For that one, see if you can do a remake on it, do the intro and then put the chorus "all you need is love," afterwards. Just an idea. :D
