What happens when?

My son was scheduled to graduate FMTB at Pendleton on 7/31. Last Friday after 4 nights in the mountains he rolled his ankle at the begining of a 5 mile hike back to the barracks. He is being held back until the next class in August if his ankle is better. If his ankle isn't better then he will go on limited duty. What happens after that?
