My soon-to-be-husband is joining the Navy early next year. I was wondering if anyone could give me a general run down of how it goes. At first he will go to basic training for ___ months... correct? Then he will be sent to a base, which me and our son can move to with him right? How often do Navy corpsman get moved from base to base? I have a billion questions regarding our future so any advice would be appreciated!! Thanks!

Your future husband's first stop, after MEPs, will be Recruit Training Command (RTC) (http://www1.netc.navy.mil/nstc/rtcgl/index.asp). This website houses tons of information and will help you obtain a better feel for what he can expect etc...
1. RTC = 6 - 7 weeks
2. Hospital Corpsman 'A' school = 70 training days

MEPS = Military Entrance Processing Station. What all applicants to the military must go through in order to sign up. It includes a physical exam, admin paperwork, and a visit to the classifiers to see what jobs one is eligible for and what jobs are available.
