Well I'll ask,
What are some things that you've done that have been pretty good lessons? What's a typical day for you/yall? And what have yall been doing for PT?

Well we went throught this intense hemorrhage class which was fun, um i know how to do cricothyrotomies and needle thoresis now lol
Um the PT is ok, it depens what platoon you get into.
I am in first platoon because of where my last name falls in the alphabet, we hardly PT, 2nd platoon and 3rd platoon however PT all the time
BUT! when we do PT it is intense and a good workout....Del Mar beach is refreshing and an arse kicking :)
We have a lot to learn still so I will keep you updated.
Overall it is a good time and it doesn't suck...I got overnight liberty within what 3 weeks? You just have to study and not give up....

I was gonna say you must be at Pendleton lol. Thus far at FMTB Lejeune we have learned 2 things: how to stand around in formation for hours in the oppressive heat, and how to tie a tourniquet really well, both of which I guess are good lessons to take to the sandbox. It was quite an experience coming from PSI duty at 10th reg, where everyone was chill, all the Marines called me doc, and our days were relaxed as can be after lunch, to coming over here and getting treated like a recruit once again. The best thing about this place though is that I get to see good leadership and bad leadership first hand, unlike you will probably ever see in the Navy. The good thing about the Marine Corps is that they seem to at least attempt to fix problems with leadership so that the lower ranks don't continually suffer. We have some fun evolutions coming up, like the rifle range and... that's probably about it.

I was just curious because we have a lot of people worried about another training command and the majority of them didn't choose to go FMTB. I'm really looking forward to it even if there's a great chance of my arse getting kicked in the near future.
I appreciate the replies. I'm sure that the only way I'll really know what FMTB is about is once I check in and actually start doing the entire program.
Thanks again and yall take care.

Rock and roll, still really looking forward to it.
I also just found out that out of the four people who got a MarDiv, all of them are going MLG except me? All of them really wanted to stay with the regular MarDiv and then one guy checked and found out where he was going. The other two knew when they picked orders. Bummer.
I appreciate the replies guys. I'll be there Oct. 12th.

what? how can 3 people get MarDiv orders, then be switched to MLG? I don't understand.

Reinhart,
When I was talking with them, one being my buddy from boot, they said they were going MarDiv. My buddy later told me he was going MLG but didn't know what that was. Then another guy asked one of our instructors what Logistics was in Labs and had to look at his orders again to see exactly what he got. Then the third guy went Med Bat but called it MarDiv, because it was easier to say that than re-explain what a Med Bat was, I guess.
So that's at least how my class got greenside orders. Graduated around 35. The class before us went mostly 1st MarDiv and others to 2nd and 3rd. I don't know what the class after us got though?
Hope yall had a good weekend. Leaving for Pendleton tomorrow.
