is boot camp hard

i jus signed my contract for a medic in the navy and i ship out to boot camp in october i wuz wondering if boot camp easy or hard. my recruiter told me it easy and he cool. He said that we get phone calls every nite and the drill sargents cant yell or hit us. and we can use stress cards if we get too stressed. also what can we bring with us? and boot camp is 8 weeks well when do we see our family and stuff. also if i dont like boot camp my recruiter said i can request to be drop on request and just go home because i mean i did sign up for 5 years but i mean if i hate the navy i dont want to be trapped lol. my friend said my recruiter tells u alot of stuff just to get you to sign and that once you sign your done. also do you run in boot camp? I am a little heavy and havent worked out in awhile my recruiter said dont worry because its the drill sargents job to help you get in better shape so should i worry about any of this

PLEASE DO NOT REFER TO A CORPSMAN AS A MEDIC.

And as far as phone calls every night... LOL! That's bogus. I was able to make 3 phone calls the ENTIRE time I was in bootcamp.
But he's correct, an RDC is not authorized to hit a recruit.
