Can I become a member of one of these groups @ boot camp? I want to become one mainly becuase the uniform looks cool and the procedure/actions interest me. Would this take up a lot of my time? Would I be apart of a color guard team throughout my 5 year enlistment? Anyone have any experience with it?
If you are talking about one of the '900' divisions at boot camp, then they will be screening for potential recruits when you report to boot camp. I'm not sure of the exact procedures, but I know it's been covered in other threads on the forum. It will take a significant amount of your time on top of what is already a very busy schedule.
However, this is only for boot camp. Towards the end of boot camp, they may offer/screen for positions with the Ceremonial Color Guard in DC which is only open to unrated first term Sailors that meet very very specific criteria. This is the *only* command in the Navy which has a full time mission of drill and cermonies. Otherwise, you may participate in color guard/drill team type activities of some sort at your first command, but it will be as a collateral duty only.

I think I would rather spend my extra time @ boot camp doing PT.
