All,
I attended our local PA National Guard memorial service this past Sunday ( an annual event, very stirring), and the guest speaker was Major General Richard Zilmer, Commanding General 1st Marine Expeditionary Force (Forward), and attended also by Major General (Select) James Williams, Commanding General Fourth Marine Division. I got to speak with both of them and told them of my son, the Hospital Corpsman, currently serving with the 1st Battalion, 8th Marines. They both praised the "Docs" who served with the Marines and we spoke for awhile. They both sent their congratulations and good wishes to my son, and thanked me for stopping to talk. Not often you get to chat up two Marine Major Generals.
