I think it's a good fit for ya. I hope all goes well and that your personal life gets on even keel soon brother.

Quite a few FMF Corpsmen & Marines swap sides during their careers. Are you looking at Active Duty or Select Reserve? Do you have any medical training (EMT, Paramedic)? Are you wanting to serve as an FMF Doc with the Marines?

The devil is in the details, but there are plenty of oustanding opportunities for Corpsmen out there - including $20,000 lump sumbonuses for 6yr contract. You should also be able to keep your rank (E4)if you play your cards right.

LMAO!!! I know you're still young cause ... well no one's older than me!! I think.

I say if yer gonna do it, and work is good, go reserves. If the civ job sucks , pull chocks , spin the rotors and go AD.

Either way, already knowing what you do and still wanting at 31 to jump back into it no matter what service is in my books highly commendable. May God guide you in your choice, but rest assured, he's already smiling upon you for thinking about it.

I wish you well. What was that episode onf Mash when the put CAPT bars on radar and waltzed him in the O club? testing a new rank CPL CAPTAIN Pierce said.

Well now folks, may I present CPLCORPSMAN fixxxer? All in favor of this poor misguided man joining us as DOCs say aye...

To think at 31 I was trying to figure out how to escape the hell of FMSS ( I swear I made some one very mad at me, and the staff knew him!!!) which one of you said it was "FUN" ?

Good luck CPLCORPSMAN- I support you. Parents must be proud to have a son like you. I mean that.

Commander, Navy Reserve Force Instruction 1100.4B provides complete overall program eligibility determination and bonus application submission guidance.

1. No one cares more about your career than you.
2. If it is not on paper, it does not exist.
3. If you do not have a copy of the paper, it does not exist.
4. "But my recruiter told me" is often met with a quiet chuckle, since it is no more than the punch line to a bad joke everyone in the military has heard before.
5. Don't give up on your plans or the Navy just because the Recruiters at a particular site won't work with you. (My enlistment was signed in the 4th or 5th office I visited.)
