Hey I haven't seen it reported anywhere, but I just found this out recently when driving the old devildoc to his appointment. In previous years the VA had restricted eligibility for travel pay to vets that lived over 50 miles from the facility, and then only paying mileage for the number of miles past 50 you had to travel. In recent months that deductible(item number 6) (http://www.va.gov/healtheligibility/library/faqs/benetravelfaq.asp#eligible) has been DROPPED. Worth knowing about if you live in a far flung suburb from the nearest OPC.
