Planes, Helicopters, Cars, Trucks, Motorcycles, Bicycles - maybe even the Goodyear Blimp.... Static displays, fly-overs, demonstrations, live entertainment, and lots of fun....!!

Parking and Admission are FREE!
The eight annual "Wings, Wheels and Rotors Expo" will be held on Sunday, October 24, on the tarmac of the Army Airfield at the Joint Forces Training Base in Los Alamitos. Admission and parking to the show are free but adults will need a gov issued photo identification card when entering the Base (drivers license will work). Event hours are from 9:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. This family-oriented program will feature a wide variety of military, civilian, corporate, and public agency aircraft and vehicles. Add to this a major car show with more than 650 custom, antique, classic, hot rods plus trucks, motorcycles and customized bicycles; along with 150 vendors, food courts, a kids corner and live entertainment!
I do not know if they will repeat it this year, but last year they had several flight simulators, an auction to ride in the Goodyear Blimp, and even some FREE flights sponsored by the “Young Eagles Program” to give youngsters ages 8 to 17 an opportunity to learn more about aviation. A few kids even got to take control of the plane during their free flights.
Camera's are a MUST for the many photographic opportunities. Comfortable shoes (preferably closed toes), hearing protection for the little one's, sunscreen, water bottle, and a hat are all good ideas too.
