Well. between incredible lightening storms, tropical grade rains and baffleing registry problems with my computer, I just have not been able to operate with any consistency. We had lightening storms last night that sounded like 8" guns going off over my head. And yes in my drousyness, I did flinch and try to dive for cover.
I got a great gift yesterday. My son is in the Gulf of Hormus. I sent him the "Corpsmans Legacy" book. It was the most touching message/conversation I have ever had with him. He said, Dad, I didnt know that much about your life." I was across the road from Mag 16 at NSA Hospital. Then he said, when I get back, lets go see the wall. I had good relations before with him, but this is a new level of understanding as he now seems to understand more clearly what his dad committed to and tried to honor all these years. Wow, Semper fi and what a Fathers Day gift. We plan to leave this area next week after memorial day.
