I just wanted to introduce myself. I joined the Corpsman.com website when my husband left for boot camp back in Sept '06. This place has been my rock while my husband was gone. You never stop to think of the million question you might have and who you will turn to, to ask them. I was fortunate that Da_Chief was up at the school where my husband attended. I know I must of bothered him quite a bit. He was ever so helpful to me for I asked him about every dumb question I could think of. I am a very impatient person which I know he was probably quick to find out. I am since then really have learned what kind of family a military family is. I have never seen so many people get involved and show so much support as I have on this board. I have in every way have tried to contribute to helping them out. So I encourage all the spouses out there to join in our board and become part of the corpsman.com family. I am here to support you in any way possible and to find someone who could relate to what I am going threw. I have spent about 8 months away from my husband between boot camp, A school and Dental school. He is now home for about 3 months and then will leave again from FMSS school which is about 7 wks. The adjustment of him coming home has been the biggest thing so far along with the leaving and being away. I to this day still don't feel as close to him as I did before we joined the military family. I am not sure what it is and if this will always be here with me. I am a tough person and will stick it out to support one of the hardest decisions that I have made in our lives. It take a special person to be behind the lines like we are. Well I just wanted to give everyone a little background on myself and that I am here for you.

HI, I just joined the site.
My husband told me about the site just after Doc Nobel died. (I think that is when he found it. He was with Doc Nobel that day.) I'm glad to have a place for Corpsmen and their families. I try to fit in with the Marines' Key wives club but none of them really understand the corpsman.
He is in Iraq and has been there for almost 5 months. This is our first deployment but my husband has been in the Navy for over 11years, I've known him for almost 9 of them. I met him right after he came home from Kuwait.
We have been back in So Cal for a year now after a 3 year tour in Italy. So Cal is home for me so it is nice to be back. It is really nice to see my husband back with his Marines, where he belongs.
I don't really have a lot of questions, but I'm feeling at home here and I'm really glad I found you guys.

Amber,
Welcome. You are always welcome here. I am trying to get more spouses on here. We can help you in ways that YOUR spouses can't while deployed.

I myself just retired with 24 years of service. I know the in's and out's of the Navy and will try to assist family members when ever I can.

But I am not the only one. There are many many many Good people on here who will go to bat for you or anyone who needs it.

Pass the word to any other wives out there that you know of Navy Corpsmen or medic's of all services. We are here for you!
