Didn't know where else to ask this question.... Does anyone know how or where to get the course or training to acquire the 9502 (MTS) Master Training Specialist? or what ever its called to be a certified instructor for the Navy.
Catalogue of Navy Training Courses (CANTRAC)
can google it, will need your CAC card log in info.

Do you know if there is a progression to the 9502. is there a basic course etc.. is it a school, are there any pre reqs? unfortunately at this time I have no Navy certs on my CAC card, since I am currently at a Army command. they took them all off to put in the Army certs.

9502 is a formal instructor school. It is geared towards "A/C" school instructors and the like. Most go through either Norfolk or San Diego (or IDC school) And/or local specialty command programs (like Nuclear). You might want to check with PERS-4013 to see if any Army schools will meet the requirements. I know they accept the USMC Master Instructor Progam as meeting the 9502 req's.http://buperscd.technology.navy.mil/bup_updt/508/NEC/SS.htm
NKO offers a handful of instructor courses that will help as well. "Instructional Delivery Continum" is one off the top of my head. Then theres another that is something like Journeyman Instructor Training.

All instuctors at the school houses are 9502. Check with your training dept, or when your PCS'ing.. they will send you if required.
MTS is different in all commands depending on your instruction environment. Ours is different then say RTC etc..
You looking for new orders ??
We have plenty of billets availible here at NHCS!!

Chief, Im kinda in the beginning stages of asking what is needed to get the NEC or attending a course. Im on deployment right now in Germany at LRMC. and was looking at a C school or something when I am done here. I do teach EMS and all the merit badge courses on the civilian side. So I guess im looking for a little guidance.

HM2, can you break it down Barney style for me :) what does a APT do? is it with the air wing? All I have done in my career has been with the grunts, until I volunteered to come to Germany. So in a sense this is my first experience with the blue side and or the the Nurse Corps. And here we Corpsman don't really get to do much. The Army has alot of dumb rules. We are all pretty much orderlies over here.

Unless things have changed, you can always apply for an age waiver. When I was in the program, I know a few that had gotten them.
