Difference in duties between RAS & BAS???

Before going to FMSS (FMTB) my son was at the 3/10 BAS - he has his new orders now stating 10th RAS - so can anyone tell me the difference in what his duties were at the BAS and his duties will be at the RAS???

BAS refers to Battalion Aid Station
RAS refers to Regimental Aid Station

Please don't persecute me if I'm incorrect. My son said the RAS usually takes care of the regiments' staff and such. Pretty much the same duties as the BAS but different clientèle.

Where is 3/10 at? What base?????

At least that was what I observed everytime I had to go to Regiment..
