Contacting a recruiter would probably be your best bet - they can help you figure out everything you may need for your medical processing

When you fill out the medical history forms, document what you remember and what you know about. If you don't remember, it probably isn't important. If the doctor needs past medical records, they will be requested based on what you tell them and where to get them. For example, if you document an open reduction internal fixation to right ankle (ORIF), the examiner might require records from the surgery, post-op visits and what-not. That should be taken to the physical exam with you so as not to delay the process. It sounds like your question is what may the doctor know about me and what can I get away with hiding. Maybe I'm wrong. Be up front with your medical history as you know it. If you have a condition that would DQ you from service be it physical, mental, or drugs, it may very well be discovered later or it may not be.

Hi pheepster,

Actually a majority of the medical history we get is just a questionaire which you do at MEPS, medical folks aren't the guys doing a background check on you, we take give us. As for immunizations, don't worry, it's not usually a question that even comes up, we give you what you need for military service. If you can't remember an injury, then it probably isn't a big deal and if it's not bothing you currently, then don't list it. Have you been to navy.com and checked out the link to join the navy? That might be the quickest way to go or call a recruiter in the city where you're moving to when you get back.

How ever you do it, good luck!

pheepster,

You are correct. This is not complicated. You fill out a medical history form to the best of your ability. Google DD Form 2807-1. It has every medical history question that you will have to answer. Maybe the reason that you haven't gotten the answer you want on the other web sites is that your question is hidden in your long neurotic ramblings. If you ever get to MEPS and have the opportunity to fill out the DD 2807-1, do us a favor and answer yes to 17 f and g. Please do not let my response reflect poorly on Corpsman.com. I'm sure some of the nice people on here will be able to tell you how to access your medical records. Just like you will probably be able to tell me how to access mine.
