Hi Everyone,

My name is Chris and my official shipout date is 04 Dec 06 as a Corpsman. I am more than thrilled about going in and only wish I could leave sooner :D I found these forums while browsing around Military.com and Google and figured I should check it out. I look forward to being an active member and I hope you guys don't mind some questions! ;)

A little about me...

I am 20 years old and have about 38 college credits under my belt. I live at home (eek!) andam currentlyunemployeed until I get back from vacation in about 14 days or so. I am the XO at my DEP station and am getting myself prepared to shoot for a command position in Boot Camp so I can hopefully get E-3 by the time I graduate.

Hi Chris!

Welcome to our site and to the larger Navy family. Glad you are preparing now for boot camp. While you are there, there will be many times you'll loose some of that steam. Try to keep it in perspective. Remember that you are there to learn to be a sailor, a teammate, a follower as well as a leader. I can tell you honestly that though boot camp was nothing I expected it to be, in the end I saw how it was everything it had to be.
