EDIT - Sorry for posting in the wrong forum.

What is life like for an fmf hm? Would I be able to go to war and if so would I be able to do the individual augmentee thing that is in news? how does it work? I already signed my papers, will there be stuff that I should request to be put onto it? Also, as an FMF HM would I be doing sea-shore tours or just work with the marines full time and be deployed when they are?

Hopefully, life is good for a HM FMF. That is my plan as well.

I am the furthest thing from expert advice here but from what I have read, Iraq is still the biggest draw on the HM program at this time.

I would guess that as an HM, the IAP is out of the question for you unless perhaps you get orders anywhere other than the sandbox.

Again, I am shooting blanks here but hopefully I am at least close to the target...As an HM FMF (8404?)you will be with either the 1st, 2nd, or 3rd Marine divisions. If I were a betting man, I'd say you were 85% + with going green full time for your first deployment.
