    US Navy DEP-START Guide

The Navy has published a new, "Standards Transition Acknowledgment Requirements Training, (START) guide and is located for viewing and/or downloading from our main page, under "Recruiting Info".

Not only is this guide for Delayed Entry Personnel, but it is also intended for Parents and Spouses of prospective Sailors. START answers a lot of the Frequently Asked Questions and is packed with a lot of great information.

It is advisable for any new Delayed Entry Personnel to share this guide with their respective families.

    Start

If you are in DEP, go to your recruiter and ask for a START booklet if he has not given it to you before hand. You will need to memorize everything from the 11 General Orders of a Sentry to the RTC Maxim. Things will become very easy to you at RTC if you receive this booklet, I highly advise that.

Sean knows from what he speaks:

Navy has revised (April 2010) the official US Navy Standards Transition Acknowledgment Requirements Training, (START) guide. It's filled with 44 pages of goodness and much needed information prior to DEPpers shipping to RTC.

    Thanks Sean for this information.
