The Corpsman.com Family is taking a much needed breather for the Labor Day Weekend.  We will be back in Action next Wednesday with more news and commentary.

DeeDee & Johnathan Reno

Last but not least.. DeeDee our Newsletter Editor and our Scuttlebutt Chat Lead moderator, is sending her youngest son Johnathen to the Navy next week.  He leaves for Boot next Wednesday.  After Boot he has been locked in to the NUKE program.

What this means is the Reno Family will have 2 sons who are Sailors, they are their only sons.  “1″ a Doc and “1″ a soon to be Nuke.

They broke the mold after the creation of the Rob, DeeDee, Dan & Johnathan Reno family.

Sorry for getting this Netcast out this late, but it has been a hell of a week in my house.  My oldest daughter had surgery last Thursday and is recovering. She is doing well, but it has stretched both myself and my wife thin of late.  Tonight is the first time I have actually had time to sit at the computer to mix this broadcast.

AOTC #74 of course is dedicated to HM3 Garcia who we lost in Afghanistan on the 5th of August.

DeeDee, 8404, and myself hosted the show.  DeeDee was actually in my daughters room for the taping and I was in my living room.    She and her family were visiting from MI for the weekend, and we had them stay at our place.  We had a awesome time, but also found out her logitech mic picks up more noise etc while taping then any spy microphone made.. Hence the reason she ended up in my daughters room.  We had much echo during the test.

Once that was fixed.  (really I didn’t boot her people!!) We recorded this netcast for you all.

Sounds weird.. I will SAILOR ON?

So I go with my Army Bretheran today .

Join Myself (Da-Chief), 8404, and maybe DeeDee.  I will be relying heavily on them as I don’t have much of a voice.  Also there will be “NO-VIDEO” today due to me having a “Eye-Problem” that goes along with this Virus.. I don’t want any reports out that I am a ZOMBIE.

After taking care of my kids for the last month with this virus it has hit me, I have been layed up for the last 4 days.  Still have a fever but the show must go on!!

I got sidetracked yesterday taking care of a family friend.  Everything worked out, but it blew up my day.

Today Admiral and I are working at the “FUN-FAIRE” at our kids school.  If you have never experienced a event like this at a Catholic School, grades K-8… Whoooooaaa-Nelly..

But I want to get this out for Dee, who put a lot of effort and time into this package.  Once again she amazed me with her product for you all.

Q1/2009 Scuttlebutt Newsletter

I know there are a lot of new folks on the site of late.  How do I know this? Because in the forums we are getting asked the same questions over and over again.

In our forums we have a thousands and I mean THOUSANDS of posts that ask questions of all kinds.  With these questions there are “THOUSANDS” of answers.

But you have to use the “SEARCH” function inside.

Now we don’t want you to quit asking questions, we love them all, it’s just that we (Myself, 8404, DeeDee, CrazyCajun) receive some pretty testy emails if we don’t answer lickity-Split, when the answer was there all along for you.

But say you do a search, and you still can’t find the answer you need.

We offer 2 times a week, where you will be “GUARANTEED” to get one of the staff members online, Tuesday and Wednesday nights.

Tuesday nights are our Scuttlebutt forums E-Club Chat night.  DeeDee, or myself, or 8404 or Crazycajun host a online chat from 2100-2300 EST each Tuesday night excluding the holiday season.  We man the room to answer any and all questions.  If we can’t give you the answer right there and then, it is only becuase we are researching the “CORRECT” answer for you.  So come on in and see our Customer service staff.  We’ll leave the light on for you.  Even if you just want to say “HEY-O”…

But say you don’t like online chats.. you feel better verbally asking a question.

Every Wednesday night @ approx: 2100 EST we host “ATTACK OF DA-CHIEF” which is a Live Netcast recorded via the Talkshoe network. This Show is hosted by myself “Da-Chief” as well as 8404, DeeDee, and 0311_Doc.  What is nice about this show, if you register for free and subscribe to us on Talkshoe, you can call in via the internet or via phone to ask questions or just to say “HEY”.  This weeks show will start at 2130 as once a month I have a meeting with our School FSA (PTA) where I am the Secretary.

Understand when we record, it is live, I usually finish the product in post production after.  This usually takes about 1-2 days.  But if you want to hear us live.. this is the way to do it..
