1944 - Invasion of Peleliu, Palau Islands after carrier aircraft bombing and ship bombardment.
1950 - U.S. forces achieve an amphibious landing at Inchon, Korea.
2008- Day before Chief Selects are pinned as Chief Petty Officers. A day filled with much learning.
